The Operational & Creative Work Behind                                      I AM Yoga

I co-founded I AM Yoga to create a space where wellness, inclusivity, and community could thrive. Although the organization is no longer operating, I maintain this site as a portfolio archive to highlight the leadership, operational, and creative work I led in shaping the systems, programming, and identity of I AM Yoga.

 

As co-founder and head of operations, I managed the operational, administrative, and programmatic functions of the organization while supporting a diverse community across Brooklyn and New York City. My work included:

  • Designing and implementing workflows for scheduling, staff coordination, client engagement, and day-to-day operations
  • Managing CRM and operational systems to support communications, reporting, program evaluation, and continuous service improvement
  • Overseeing the financial administration—budgeting, payroll, procurement, vendor relationships, accounts payable/receivable, and more
  • Developing internal processes and service standards that shaped a cohesive, welcoming, and mission-driven client experience
  • Building brand identity and content strategy, including website content, newsletters, outreach materials, and community communications
  • Forging partnerships with local businesses and organizations to support community engagement, advocacy, and mission-driven programming initiatives
  • Creating and managing events, workshops, partnerships, and educational programming across in-person and virtual settings
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising instructors and administrative staff while fostering a collaborative and community-centered environment
  • Navigating organizational transitions and operational challenges with adaptability, responsiveness, and solutions-oriented approach

This site offers a glimpse into the programs and values that defined I AM Yoga, and by extension, into my approach to mission-driven work, operations management, team leadership, strategic collaboration, and community engagement.
